Note that the large
black cable is directly bridged to the battery live
cable, making the remote starter solenoid at the
starter always hot. The "start" side of the
solenoid, seen here with a yellow wire, goes to the
smaller connection at the starter. When the ignition
key is switched to start, 12v from the ignition
switch activates this starter solenoid, closing the
solenoid and sending 12v to the activate the
starter.
